About Scoffy

Find that ingredientScoffy was abandoned by his wealthy parents in a Harrods hamper on the steps of the Paris Ritz. They could no longer care for him as they were driven by their desire to track down the elusive edible hexagon anise (similar to the star anise). As a result Scoffy was raised at the feet of some of the worlds best Chefs. He went on to work in restaurants all around the world, rising to head chef in many of them and accumulating numerous awards and stars. However, a chance encounter with a wonky star anise brought up those long buried feelings of loss and abandonment. He walked away from his life as a world class chef and set up the Food Detective Agency. After many years of searching he found the elusive edible hexagonal anise and vowed to train a band of food detectives to continue the food hunting legacy of his parents.

Scoffy says: "Bonjour I take our role very seriously and don't want a load of flakey trainee detectives on my watch. You must pay attention everywhere, no matter if you are commuting, chatting or cuddling I want no small deli, supermarket or market stall to go unnoticed. If you see something that 'aint on this site report it back immediately. That's the only way we can track down all those stray foods and the only way YOU are going to rise up through my Food Detective Agency".
